Our organically raised cattle only eat grass and hay that is free of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Cattle receive no grain, hormones, chemical dewormers or antibiotics on our farm.
The cattle herd is rotated on pasture year round. During the growing season cattle are given a new section of grass every day. We choose this intensive grazing practice to continue to improve pasture density and plant variety. It also prevents over-grazed and trampled land that can lead to soil loss and watershed pollution. Our Cattle have access to free choice organic grade minerals. In contrast with conventionally raised grain-fed cattle, grass finished beef is actually good for your heart! Our cattle are butchered at a USDA facility only 20 minutes from the farm as part our efforts to minimize stress to the animals for whom we care.
